My name is Akshat Gupta and I am a senior at South Brunswick High School. I have been a part of the Asha For Education Princeton Chapter since 2020 and my first event that I volunteered at was a garage sale. At this event I learned how to communicate with people I have never met before, building connections and relationships, and trying to help them with whatever they may need. I also learned about the Asha foundation and realized that by joining this organization I can help raise money so underprivileged children in India can have access to a better education. Since then, I have played a part is organizing the walk/run event and have learned how to be a better leader, how to communicate better, which in turn allows me to spread word of the cause.

Along with volunteering at Asha, I am a captain for the South Brunswick High School soccer team as well as my club team at PDA. In my free time I love playing monopoly with my family as well as going on late night drives with my friends.
